Job Qualifications
- J.D. from an accredited law school as well as at least 5 years of practice experience
- Attorney must be licensed to practice law and a member in good standing in any state/jurisdiction
- Deep understanding of discovery review platforms and experience with Technology Assisted Review (TAR) tools and workflows.
- Discovery project management experience preferred
Job Responsibilities
As a Discovery Attorney, you will join a dedicated team of internal discovery professionals who assist the firm with litigation, government investigations and regulatory requests, including targeted Delaware privilege review, quality control, deposition preparation, trial preparation and general discovery project management.
You will facilitate early case assessment and review by coordinating with the internal attorneys on various matters including high priority and time sensitive matters by conducting key searches, analyzing, and reviewing documents, and providing summaries of critical communications and chronologies.
You will collaborate with other attorneys and document hosting and review vendors, to identify and execute effective and efficient document review methods appropriate to each matter.
You will be a critical component of a litigation team working on high-stakes litigation with the ability to work through complex fact patterns at flexible times.

Senior Systems Manager
Richards, Layton & Finger, Delaware’s largest law firm, seeks a Senior Systems Manager in Wilmington, Delaware. The standard hours are 9:00am – 5:30pm, on a hybrid schedule (in office 4-days and remote on Fridays). This role plans, implements, oversees, and maintains the firm’s enterprise applications, servers, networks, and system. They lead deployment and oversight of critical firm technology infrastructure across hybrid, cloud, and on-premises environments. This role also directs the firm’s key technology platforms while managing and mentoring system administrators to ensure seamless application ownership and upkeep.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Design, install, configure, and maintain servers, storage, virtualization, and networks including routine updates and ongoing performance monitoring.
- Supervise deployment of critical firm technology infrastructure across all platforms to align business and departmental goals.
- Maintain and upgrade enterprise technology systems prioritizing resilience, business continuity, and team collaboration to ensure system architecture components function as expected.
- Support overall health, performance, lifecycle planning, and budgeting needs for servers, storage, virtualization, cloud, and network infrastructure, ensuring availability, resilience, and business continuity.
- Collaborate on and lead the design, configuration, maintenance, and enhancement of core firm applications (such as document management, time and billing, conflicts, and integrations) with the application owners.
- Coordinate with and supervise others in the System Administration group to identify improvements, guide projects, and delegate system ownership including updates, continuity, and documentation.
- Maintain Active Directory, Group Policy, and identity services in partnership with application owners keeping systems supported and secure.
- Ensure robust backup, restore, disaster recovery procedures, and business impact analysis tasks across both infrastructure and critical applications. Organize recurring tests with team members, MIS staff, and relevant external departments where appropriate.
- Enforce and refine existing standards, procedures, and documentation for infrastructure and applications, including change management, monitoring, best practice deployments, and incident response.
- Serve as an escalation point for complex infrastructure or application issues, working directly when required, while also coordinating vendors and internal resources.
- Partner with the firm’s iSMS, security, and outside counsel guideline teams to support initiatives and ensure systems and applications comply with requirements.
- Manage relationships with external vendors and service providers for hosted platforms, maintenance, support, and projects focusing on systems and applications.
- Provide leadership, coaching, and structured professional development for System Administration staff, including formal cross training in advanced technical functions.
- Contribute to refining MIS policies, procedures, and standards driving the continual improvement of MIS operations and service delivery.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required
- Strong understanding of complex information system environments, including core infrastructure such as servers, networks, virtualization, and cloud as well as enterprise applications such as Exchange and SQL.
- Proven leadership of blended systems, infrastructure, and application teams, including coaching and skills development.
- Excellent analytical, problem solving, and decision-making skills to balance stability, security requirements, and user needs.
- Effective communication skills for explaining complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences, including attorneys and firm leadership.
- Ability to prioritize, plan and oversee multiple concurrent projects alongside daily operational responsibilities in a professional environment.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology or computer science, or equivalent professional experience.
- Minimum five years’ direct systems administration experience plus substantial experience overseeing enterprise environments in a law firm or similar professional services setting.
- Experience administering servers, virtualization platforms, networking technologies, and enterprise applications including Exchange, Office365, SQL databases, document management systems, and comparable tools.
- Familiarity with Time and Billing systems and IntApp environments is preferred.
- Prior experience with leadership, supervision, or as a technical lead is required.
- Relevant technical certifications and a strong commitment to ongoing professional development and continued education are desirable.

Client Billing Specialist (Alternative Entities Department)
Richards, Layton & Finger, Delaware’s largest law firm, seeks an exceptional Client Billing Specialist for its Alternative Entities Department in Wilmington, DE. The standard hours for this position are 9:00am-5:30pm. This position offers a hybrid schedule after training is complete. (Current hybrid schedule is remote on Fridays).
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate with legal staff and various administrative functions within the firm, including finance, administration, marketing, conflicts, and IT.
- Work with attorneys and administrative assistants to organize and manage matters in accordance with client requirements, eBilling guidelines, and pricing arrangements.
- Partner with billing and accounts receivable professionals to ensure proper setup of billing/payor contacts, eBilling settings, and other financial system coding.
- Assist with projects to improve processes as they relate to legal and business operations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Maintain open and proactive communication with supervisor and team members, providing regular updates on billing activities, progress and any issues that arise. Work closely with supervisor to ensure priorities are aligned, deadlines are met, and challenges are addressed promptly.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Associate’s degree in finance, economics, accounting, or business-related field is preferred.
- At least 3 years’ work experience, with 1-3 years’ experience in a law firm or corporate environment.
- Strong organizational and quantitative skills, with exceptional attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills along with being a strong team player and exhibiting a professional demeanor.
- Strong technology skills, including advanced proficiency in Excel, Word and Outlook, and the ability to create, edit, and present complex data, analyses, and reports.
- Anticipate work needs and organize accordingly; follow through with minimal direction and follow up independently.
- Ability to multi-task, use time efficiently and perform under tight deadlines and in a fast paced and changing work environment; successfully prioritize and adapt to changing demands.
